The quota total you get when you add up all of your files will be lower than the actual usage because you are not adding in the sizes of the PINE, TIN, and LYNX configuration files that are in your filesystem. There are a number of hidden "dot files" (the name starts with ".") that are not visible in a normal directory listing. Most of these have critical fixed formats and would render your account unusable if they were to be edited manually or overwritten by mistake. You can view these files with the appropriate entries in your bookmark file or some other *.html file in your home directory. Some of them are in this bit of HTML which you can save to a file called "dot-files.html" in your home directory (not in your "public_html" directory).
.addressbook
 -- Default address book file.
.addressbook.lu
-- Default address book index file.
.lynxrc
 -- lynx configuration
.newsrc
-- News subscription/state file. This can grow to a rather large size if
you subscribe to a lot of newsgroups and do not use the tin "c" ("catch
up") command or the pine "d" ("delete") command to mark all or most of
the articles as read from time to time. The list of numbers is a list
of the articles flagged as read or expired. A new pair of numbers has
to be used everywhere there is a gap in the list caused by an unread
   article.
.newsrc.old
-- (backup if error, not always present)
.oldnewsrc
-- (backup of older .newsrc)
.pinerc
 -- Personal pine config file.
.shell-errors
.signature
 -- Default signature file.
(On CCN, ".signature" is a symbolic link pointing to "signature".)
     .signature -> signature
.tin/ (directory)
-- holds your tin configuration file ("tinrc", do NOT try to edit this),
your killfile for tin (may be edited but the safest edit is to delete
everything and use tin's Control-K to create any entries), and your
posted file which stores a list of the articles you post to usenet
so you can cancel your old articles if they contain a typo or
out-of-date information such as something for sale that you have now
sold. If you are a frequent poster to usenet, this file should have
the old, expired articles edited out from time to time.
